You can use vinegar in mixes that will help you clean pretty much everything in the house. And outside even.
In combination with sodium bicarbonate, salt, olive oil or lemon juice it can scrub, whiten, dissolve burnt or hardened grease, and it also disinfects.
You can use it to unclog your drain, in combination with baking soda, or you can use it on its own to deodorize and just clean it from deposits.
It can also be used to clean the burnt inside of an oven, to clean your washing machine, microwave, to remove carpet stains, mattress stains, couch stains, it can be used to clean garbage cans, outside or inside ones, or even to rinse to degrease your hair.
Here’s how you can use it to clean carpet stains:
- 1 part distilled white vinegar
- 1 part distilled water
- 2 tea spoons of baking soda
- 5 drops of essential oil (lemon, lavender, tea tree etc.)
You can use the recipe above to also clean your floors, or you can drop the baking soda and put everything in a spray bottle and you got yourself a non-toxic furniture dust spray.
You can use a 50/50 water-vinegar solution to clean your computer mouse. Or, using the same solution on a soft cloth or sponge to wipe pen marks off of painted walls. Gently wipe to avoid discoloring.
You can use vinegar to clean your blinds. Here’s how: make a solution with 2 parts water and just one part vinegar. This solution you can also use to clean your piano keys.
Vinegar can also be used to remove candle wax stains. Warm up the candle wax using a blow dryer set on high. Wipe using a paper towel and clean what ever is left using the 50/50 water-vinegar solution.
Here are a few things you should NEVER clean using pure vinegar: granite and marble counter tops, stone floor tiles, egg stains, or hardwood floors. You can use vinegar on these, but ALWAYS DILUTE.
