Homemade soft scrub recipe for all surfaces

All wives and moms know how hard it is to keep the house clean and all things in it looking like new. Although, cleaning and cleaning day after day, if you’re not using the right cleaning methods for every surface, you’re doing more wrong than good.

Yes, a clean house is what everybody wants. But that is not enough. It’s regardless, if everything looks worn out and unaesthetic.

For example, you must never use chlorinated cleaners on stainless steel, or ammonia, moreover, if you own a stainless steel hob with digital display. You will totally ruin the digital display if you get any hard cleaners on it.

And, although vinegar and baking soda is perhaps the best natural cleaner out there, never leave it to sit a long period of time on ceramic sinks. The mix will simply “chew” on the ceramic ruin the sink. It is not a good idea to lave it sitting on stainless steel, either. It will stain.

Here’s a great recipe for a soft scrub cleaner that will not ruin your sink or stainless steel:

  • 2 tbsp of baking soda
  • 1-2 tbsp water
  • 3-4 drops of lemon or orange essential oil

Or:

  • 2 tbsp of castile soap
  • 3⁄4 cup baking soda
  • enough water to make a smooth, liquid paste
  • 10 drops grapefruit essential oil (or whichever essential oil you please)

Or, for hard stains:

  • 3/4 cup of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup of castile soap
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • 1 tbsp of vinegar

Baking soda makes a great rub all on its own if the surfaces that need cleaning are not very dirty. You can just add a little bit of water to make it resemble a smooth paste.

You can also use sugar or salt, after soaking the surface in warm or hot water if the surface allows.
