Being a quite used appliance, the microwave captures every time the smell of the prepared foods. It also retains grease stains that are always very difficult to clean.
Therefore, you should know how to clean a microwave and do this periodically. It is not difficult, you only have to keep in mind some cheap and simple tips.
Clean the microwave with lemon
You need 1 average lemon, a bowl that can be used in a microwave, a clean cloth or paper towel.
Pour half a cup of water in the bowl, cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice, then put the squeezed lemon halves into the bowl.
Run the microwave at full power and leave for 3 minutes, or until the water boils. Do not open the oven door and allow the liquid to fog up there for 5 minutes.
Remove the bowl and wipe the microwave, from top to bottom. If it is equipped with a rotating glass vessel, remove it and wash it, clean the walls and only in the end clean the basis, taking care to crumbs.
If you come across places with strengthened food, soak the cloth in water with lemon and rub a little.
Use vinegar
This recipe can be very effective on dried food debris and old grease stains. All you have to do is to pour a cup of water in a bowl that can be used in the microwave, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar and a few drops of essential oil of lemon or orange.
Run the microwave and leave until the water boils. The steam of water and vinegar will do much of the work. For the rest follow the same method from above.
Clean the microwave with baking soda
Prepare a paste of baking soda and water, to which you can add a few drops of lemon essential oil, or grated lemon peel to remove odors.
Rub inside of the microwave oven well with this mixture and leave it on for 5 minutes, then remove and rinse with a damp cloth.
