Somewhere, somehow, you were brainwashed and convinced that you need the most powerful chemicals and toxins to prevent germs. Almost all commercially bathroom cleaning products contain chemicals and toxins that can affect your health and are not environmentally friendly.
- Flooring
To clean and polish the floor made of sandstone, linoleum or vinyl, use a solution of 3-4 liters of hot water, a cup of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baby oil.
In case you are dealing with stubborn stains can add 2 tablespoons of borax solution.
- Toilet
When cleaning your toilet, you don’t need to use very strong products to kill germs and bacteria.
Make a mixture of 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda, one tablespoon of olive oil and a few drops of scented aromatherapy oil.
Then use a brush or abrasive pad to clean it.
- Bathtub
Use a sprayer in which to pour half a liter of rubbing alcohol, half a liter of hydrogen peroxide and a tablespoon of peppermint essential oil.
If there are any stains on your bathtub, you can clean them with a mixture consisting of sodium bicarbonate and warm water, using an abrasive pad.
- Cupboards
Make a solution of 50 ml of liquid soap or dishwashing, 15-30 drops of green tea essential oil and 500 ml of warm water.
This solution can be also used to clean and disinfect the bathroom trash and is very good to prevent mold development.
- Mirror and Glass
To clean the mirror, or any glass objects, use a solution of vinegar and water (1: 1).
Vinegar is very effective for removing grease.
- Clogged drains
To unclog a bathroom sink pour down the drain a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar.
Leave the solution to act for 15-20 minutes, then open the hot water tap.
