Skin tags are often wrongly considered moles because they have the same color as the skin or darker. These kind of skin tags are developed on the neck, chest or armpits and are caused by papilloma virus. Skin tags have a little foot of which is often twisted or broken by small trauma.

For a medical point of view, skin tags are harmless. But they are anesthetic, unpleasant and can harm a person self esteem.
