When you have a toothache you’re willing to try anything to ease your discomfort. Instead of grabbing powerful pills, which can affect the body turn back to nature to help calm your suffering.
The most common cause of toothache is tooth decay, gingivitis, dental abscesses or exposed tooth roots. Symptoms associated with these problems include pain and inflammation of the gums, throbbing pain in teeth, earaches, sinusitis and feeding difficulty.
Cloves and olive oil. Clove oil contains eugenol, a natural painkiller with antibacterial effect. For this reason, it is recommended not only by dentists, but also in relieving cough and asthma, headaches, skin problems, and digestion. To treat your dental pain, mix 2-3 drops of clove oil with ¼ teaspoon pure olive oil and apply this remedy to the affected area three times a day, using a cleansing sponge. You may place cotton soaked the solution directly on gum. Let it action a few minutes. If you do not have oil, simply use cloves. You just have to keep the powder on the painful area.
Nutmeg. This herb helps to get rid of toothache if you use it as a powder. Combine a teaspoon of coconut oil / sesame / mustard (the oil should be hot) with ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg powder. Soak some cotton into the mix and apply it on the affected area for a few minutes, then gargle with warm water. It’s advisable to do it two days in a row .
Pepper and Turmeric. Mix the pepper with turmeric in a bowl and then apply it and massage your gums for two minutes. Rinse with cold water. Repeat twice a day. The pain caused by a loose tooth should disappear. Avoid drinking or eating after you had this treatment.
Salt and mustard oil. Mix a tablespoon of salt with two drops of mustard oil and gently massage the gums with this mixture for about 2 minutes. Rinse with cold water. Due to its properties the mustard oil strengths the gums and prevents the teeth from falling.
Onion juice. Being rich in sulfur compounds, onion juice contains agents that kill bacteria. To get rid of discomfort, take a tablespoon of fresh juice made from onion and onion flowers. Another thing you can do is to soak a cleansing sponge in onion juice and place it where the gum hurts.
Ginger and cardamom seeds. For this recipe you need dry ginger, green cardamom seed powder and a little licorice. Combine a bit of everything – with a spoon of honey – to obtain a paste, which you apply it on the painful area. Allow the paste to action for a few minutes, then rinse with cold water.
