Homemade Kiwi Face Scrub

There are lots of homemade face scrubs out there. You just need to find the perfect combination that fits your skin needs. To do that you need to read about them until you are able to custom the perfect one for your skin.

Depending on the ingredients used, homemade face scrubs have different purpose and can help your skin in different way.
Today I will show you how to make a face scrub that you will help you clarify and brighten your skin.

Whenever you choose to make a scrub at home you should keep in mind you need at least two ingredients:

  • an exfoliant: the most basic exfoliant used are salt and sugar in their different types;
  • an oil: you can choose to use the oil you find to be better for your skin (e.g. olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, etc.).

You can make a face scrub with only these 2 ingredients but I prefer to add a third: a fruit or a vegetable because they have properties that will help your skin even more.

Now lets speak about my kiwi face scrub….

I’ve used the following 3 ingredients:

  • 100 g white sugar;
  • 1-2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil – good for dry skin;
  • 2 kiwi – the seeds will act like little exfoliating particles.

You need to scoop out the middle of the kiwi. Mix all 3 ingredients together and you’re done.

Due to the fact that this face scrub contains kiwi it will help you brighten your skin.
You can choose to substitute the olive oil with another oil of you choice. I’ve chosen olive oil this time, because my skin is a little dry these days due to the winter weather.

Let me know how you find this recipe and how did you adapted it to your skin.
